Online Repeat Prescription Ordering

 EMIS Access is a web based system that allows:

• Appointment booking/cancellation
• Repeat Prescription requests (not available at present)
• Messaging - send message directly to the surgery. 

To use the service you have to be registered with Surgery and you will need the following:

• Our Practice ID number
• your Personal Identification Number (PIN)
• your Password
• your NHS number

Please come to the Surgery in person and speak to the Receptionists. You will be given a Registration Letter with your unique registration details that you  should keep safe.

Dispensary

Our dispensary is available as a service to our patients who live more than one mile from a chemist.

The dispensary is open from 8:30am to 6pm during surgery hours to allow dispensing patients to collect their medication.

Repeat prescriptions - can be arranged by calling into the surgery and dropping the slip into the box in the foyer or by calling 01423 799973 and leaving a telephone message. Our qualified dispensers' will check your request to ensure that

• the item is available on a repeat basis
• the correct dosage is administered
• whether any scheduled health checks are due 

To ensure that your prescription is ready for collection please allow 48 hours to enable the dispensers' to order the drugs and make up the prescription.

For our non-dispensing patients, you can arrange for the local chemists' to deliver the prescription to your home or, if you supply a stamped addressed envelope, we can send your prescription to your home.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
